What cruise line would be appropriate for a romantic getaway?

Can you answer mentalsquint’s question about Honeymoons?:
I’m planning a vacation for later this year and I was wondering what cruise line is the best for couples. We are looking for cruiselines that are not so much family oriented, because we are looking to get away from kids for a while. Also something that is relatively inexpensive. I KNOW all cruises are rather pricy, but just give me some ideas of where to start. I’ve never been on a cruise before and I’m clueless as to where to begin my search. Any suggestions?

Some Great Ideas For A Romantic Vacation In San Francisco

Tony Bennett left his heart there, so it’s no wonder that San Francisco, California offers a variety of options for romantic vacations or the perfect honeymoon. After all, who can resist that view of the Golden Gate Bridge on a full moon night?
Designated one of the most romantic cities in America, San Francisco boasts of tantalizing scenery. Maybe it’s the climate, or the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge, or the beaches made for long walks at sunset. Maybe the parks sprinkled with couples strolling hand in hand entice others to join in by hiking, biking, or just being together. Other outdoor activities draw couples to the city, like a romantic sunset cruise in the San Francisco bay.
For a full day’s fun, check out some of the many spas available. Schedule a couple’s massage at one of the many day spas in the area for a truly romantic experience. You won’t forget this experience anytime soon. And while you could pick any spa across the country for such an experience, nothing beats the spas in San Francisco: you’ll find as many spas as you will Starbuck’s, and you can choose the best for you.
Check out the vineyards while seeking a romantic spot. San Francisco sits just a hop, skip, and jump from some of the most famous vineyards in America. Don’t forget to check ahead with the wineries you want to visit since some require appointments for tours. Visiting the gorgeous countryside and enjoying the luxurious taste of wines will set the stage for a romantic outing, but remember to taste responsibly.
For a fun afternoon, consider a picnic at the Golden Gate Park. Rent a rowboat once you’re done snacking or ride around the lake on bikes. Let your imagination soar as you run with your sense of romance for the day. The most romantic things are not planned, but instead they just happen as spur of the moment gestures that touch loved ones more than a planned activity ever could.
To impress your loved one, consider a date at the Equinox, the revolving restaurant and bar atop the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Sure you’ll have to fork over more for this dinner, but the spectacular view will soon make you forget what you’re paying for the food.
The art loving couples will enjoy San Francisco’s museums and galleries which provide plenty of fodder for discussion. Even the art novice might find himself surprised by enjoying the diverse art in the city.
If you’re going to make the trip to San Francisco, you have to visit either Fisherman’s Wharf, China Town, or Little Italy. Not only can you find great food and intriguing sites, but you’ll experience a taste of cultural diversity unlike any you can find in one city today. Not visiting these spots likens itself to visiting New Orleans and skipping over the French Quarter.
Just a state of mind, romance can find itself blossoming from a seed into a beautiful flower thanks to the atmosphere of San Francisco. Check it out today.

Hiking Adventures: Perfect for Family Trips or Romantic Getaways
April 26, 2009 by Great Honeymoon Ideas
Are you interested in taking a trip? Whether you are looking to take a traditional trip with your family or go on a romantic getaway, have you ever thought about going on a hiking adventure? Hiking adventures are nice because they are great for just about everyone, as well as just about any occasion.
One of the many reasons why hiking is great for both romantic getaways and family trips is because hiking trials come in a number of different formats. In the United States, you will find hiking trails that are designed for beginners, hiking trails that are designed for experts, as well as those that are at the intermediate hiking level. This is great if you are planning on hiking with your children, as you should be able to find a number of hiking trails that would be easy for them to hike.
As for romantic getaways, one of the many reasons why hiking is perfect for a romantic getaway is because of the scenery. The scenery is one of the many reasons why hiking is such a popular activity. No matter what hiking trail you choose to hike, there is a good chance that you will come across a wide array of landscape. Many hiking trails are set next to rivers; therefore, there is a good chance that you will get to see some waterfalls. These waterfalls, as well as the other scenery types that you may come across are perfect for romantic getaways.
In keeping with romantic getaways, hiking adventures can last as short as a few hours or as long as a whole week. Many individuals who go hiking choose to stay onsite, often at an onsite campground. This is nice, as when you are camping you are one with nature. This setting is perfect for privacy, as well as romance. As for family vacations, camping overnight at a hiking park is also nice, as it adds another fun activity for you and your family to enjoy. If you are planning on hiking with your children, there is a good chance that they would find the camping part just as exciting as the hike itself.
Speaking of activities, when you go hiking, you will likely end up visiting a hiking park. Hiking parks are often home to a number of different hiking trails. In addition to being home to a number of hiking trails, as well as a campground, you will also likely find a number of other activities for you and your family or you and your romantic partner to participate in. For instance, it is not uncommon for a hiking park to have a playground or a swimming pool. This means that you and whoever else you are with may enjoy playing a few outdoor games or going for a swim. In today’s society, hiking isn’t just about hiking anymore.
As you can see, from being outlined above, hiking is the perfect way to spend your next family vacation or even your next romantic getaway. If you are interested in enjoying a hiking adventure, you may want to think about making your reservations in advance. While you may not necessarily need a reservation to just go hiking, you may need one if you are interested in camping out overnight. Making your reservations in advance will help to ensure that your next hiking and camping adventure is as memorable as possible.
